terra coloris 2006-2009

I felt I had been working with the same kind of motives for a long time. So I wanted to start from a clean slate.
I had read about Nietzsche and his ideas on colours and was thinking about how people associate different colours with different feelings or that they don't experiense colours at all. I made this abstract series of fantasy landscapes with very bright colours. I used a painting knive on linen canvas.

For this series I was granted The Hilda & Richard Wollert Award in 2006. This is the members' of The Swedish Artists' Association (Svenska Konstnärernas Förening) own award.
